Dr Bongani Mabaso explains how Altron Group continues to thrive – building on its nearly 60-year legacy.
Altron Group’s Chief Technology Officer, Dr Bongani Mabaso, recently shared insights on the company’s performance, growth, and profitability in an interview with Aki Anastasiou.
Dr Mabaso, responsible for leading Altron’s technology function, product designs, and innovation strategies, has a strong focus on artificial intelligence (AI) and data analytics. He is dedicated to expanding the group’s platform ecosystem.
With previous roles as CEO of SITA and CIO of Digital and Customer Journeys at Standard Bank CIB, Dr Mabaso brings a wealth of experience from his tenure at Transnet Engineering, where he held various engineering positions.
His educational background includes a Bachelor of Science in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the University of Cape Town, a Master of Philosophy from the University of Cape Town’s Graduate School of Business, and a Doctor of Philosophy from the University of Pretoria.
The Interview
