South Africa’s Stinger GC, one of the most prominent teams in the LIV Golf League, has taken a major step off the course with the launch of the Stinger GC Foundation.

This new initiative, an evolution of Louis Oosthuizen’s Louis57 Foundation, aims to drive social impact, youth development, and wildlife conservation across the country.

A Legacy of Giving Back

Founded in 2009 by major champion Louis Oosthuizen, the original Louis57 Foundation has supported:

  • Young cancer patients
  • Children with autism and Down Syndrome
  • Feeding programs for underprivileged communities
  • Youth golf development

Now, rebranded as the Stinger GC Foundation, the organization will expand its reach, uniting the team’s philanthropic efforts under one banner.

Key Focus Areas

  1. Youth Golf Development – Nurturing the next generation of South African golfers.
  2. Healthcare Initiatives – Continuing support for vulnerable children.
  3. Environmental Conservation – A strong focus on anti-rhino poaching efforts.

“Our team shares a deep passion for giving back,” said Oosthuizen“This foundation allows us to do even more.”

Fundraising & Partnerships

The foundation will host events, including Oosthuizen’s annual charity golf tournament at Pinnacle Point Estate. It also seeks partnerships with corporate sponsors and global donors to maximize impact.

Jake Jones (LIV Golf SVP of Impact) praised the initiative:
“The Stinger GC Foundation shows how our teams can be catalysts for positive change.”

How to Get Involved

With Charl Schwartzel, Dean Burmester, and Branden Grace also backing the cause, Stinger GC is proving that golf can be a force for good.
