England’s Mimi Rhodes clinched a second consecutive Ladies European Tour (LET) title on Saturday, holding off a strong final-round challenge from South Africa’s Casandra Alexander to win the Joburg Ladies Open by one shot.

The 23-year-old started the day with a three-stroke lead and held her nerve with a two-under-par 71, finishing at 14 under for the tournament at Modderfontein Golf Club in Johannesburg.

Alexander narrowed the gap with an impressive final-round 69, pushing Rhodes to the final hole. Both players made birdies on the 17th, setting up a tense finish.

“The nerves were really getting to me in the last couple of holes,” Rhodes admitted. “Walking down 18, I tried not to think too far ahead. I just stayed focused and played my game.”

Rhodes, a rookie on the LET, now boasts back-to-back tour victories following her win at the Women’s NSW Open in Australia last month.

“It’s amazing to win in another country, and for it to be my second in a row—it’s just a dream come true,” she said. “This gives me a lot of confidence for the rest of the season and my professional career.”

The final leaderboard saw Rhodes finish at -14, followed by Alexander at -13. Germany’s Helen Briem came in at -11, and Ireland’s Lauren Walsh ended at -10.

Among other notable finishers, Ireland’s Sara Byrne finished at -5, Wales’ Chloe Williams at -4, and Scotland’s Kylie Henry at -3.
