weekend weather forecast

The weekend weather forecast is in, and it’s looking mostly clear and sunny for Saturday, but with some showers and thundershowers expected on Sunday, according to the South African Weather Service.

Are you planning any outdoor activities this weekend? Saturday will likely be the best day, with mostly clear skies and a partly cloudy afternoon. The day will have a minimum temperature of 13°C and a maximum of 27°C, making it ideal for a picnic or hike. However, on Sunday, the weather is expected to be cooler, with temperatures ranging from a high of 26°C to a low of 13°C. The day will start with partly cloudy conditions in the morning, but showers and thundershowers are expected by the evening. So, don’t forget to pack an umbrella or raincoat for Sunday evening. As the week progresses, temperatures are predicted to drop, with morning cloudy or rainy weather.

On Monday, the high is expected to be 24°C, going as low as 16°C, and showers and thundershowers continue in the morning before calming to rain showers in the evening. AfriWX warns of a high-risk UV index in Pretoria throughout the weekend, suggesting sun protection is necessary from the late morning to mid-afternoon. The weather website advises applying broad-spectrum SPF-15 or higher sunscreen and wearing protective clothing, a wide-brimmed hat, and sunglasses.
