Orange Farm Residents Face Waterless Weekend as Repairs Continue
Residents in Orange Farm have been experiencing a water supply disruption for at least 10 days, and Joburg Water has not provided an estimated time for restoration.
Last week Tuesday, residents reported a complete cut-off of water supply in the township, with minimal communication from the water utility as reported by Eyewitness News.

Joburg Water responded to complaints a few days later, attributing the water outages to a damaged water pipe caused during the installation of a stormwater pipe in Orange Farm extension 2.
Despite repair work starting a week ago, Joburg Water encountered more leaks on the same pipe upstream, leading to ongoing water outages for almost two weeks.
As a temporary measure, the water utility plans to supply roaming water tankers to the area while further investigations are conducted.
As of now, there is no estimated time for the restoration of water supply, leaving Orange Farm residents facing a waterless weekend.
