K73/Allandale Road Upgrade Set for October 2023 Completion
Commuters and residents in Midrand can expect completed roadworks as the progress continues to the upgrade of Allandale Road, set to finish in October 2023, according to the Gauteng Department of Roads and Transport.

The project, which began in December 2021, aims to construct a dual carriageway for the new road section stretching between Montrose and Allandale Roads and also includes significant improvements to Woodmead Drive and Allandale Road. The developments are part of the larger #AgaLeRona initiative, in line with the Gauteng Growth and Development Strategy 2030 (#GGT2030), aimed at enhancing regional transportation infrastructure.
The upgrade will significantly improve traffic flow and connectivity, making commuting smoother and more efficient.
