TikTok Star Moghelingz: Career Triumphs and LGBTQ+ Inspiration

TikTok star Moghelingz, also known as Banele Ndaba, is determined to make a positive impact as a prominent figure in the entertainment industry, representing both the youth and the queer culture. Recently, he made waves as he was announced as one of the stars set to grace the cover of S-Mag’s “AchievaTM Issue” with Standard Bank at Braamfontein, Johannesburg, on June 10 as reported by the Times Live. Moghelingz made a grand entrance with his distinctive faded haircut, but later in the evening, he fully embraced his glamorous side, showcasing both his masculine and feminine facets, which are integral parts of his personal journey.

Remaining true to himself is of utmost importance to Moghelingz, who emphasised that he entered the industry as Banele Ndaba and will never lose sight of his authentic identity. He explained, “There is Banele before Moghelingz, and that is the person responsible for all of this success. I want the world to see who he is, which is why I embrace both aspects of myself. They both play significant roles in shaping the person I am. Banele is naturally shy, but thanks to Moghelingz, he can share his story comfortably,” as expressed to TshisaLIVE.

Growing up in the small town of Standerton in Mpumalanga, Moghelingz had limited exposure to education and resources pertaining to the LGBTQi+ community. He recounted experiencing bullying and harassment firsthand, but he remains committed to using his narrative to inspire and support others facing similar challenges. “As a queer individual, I aspire to bring about change, advocate for queer rights, and demonstrate to the world that regardless of one’s background, they can make a difference in someone’s life,” Moghelingz passionately shared.

Currently dominating social media platforms, Moghelingz became the first person to host behind-the-scenes content of the Metro FM Awards 2023 on TikTok. He also recently launched his YouTube podcast series “Bedroom Chats.” However, his ambitions extend far beyond his current achievements, as he has several exciting projects in the works. Moghelingz believes that there is room for everyone in the entertainment industry and strives to challenge the notion that success depends on conforming to specific standards. He proudly stated, “I am one of the few creatives who entered the industry as their authentic selves, and people embraced and loved me for who I am. I have always been prepared to take the industry head-on because I am passionate about my work. I have been a dreamer from a young age and envisioned myself in this position. Consequently, when such opportunities present themselves, I am not surprised because I have always felt this calling.”

With a dedicated following on various social media platforms, Moghelingz boasts over 2.1 million followers on TikTok, 530,000 on Instagram, and 53,400 on Twitter. He aims to leverage his influence to create opportunities for young people, particularly those with a passion for the arts who have not been allowed to pursue their dreams. Moghelingz intends to share his platform and empower aspiring youth who have recently graduated and are seeking a foothold in the industry.
