Elderly Treated to Five-Star Treatment at Heartwarming Mandela Day Event

The elderly were treated to a five-star treatment at a Mandela Day event hosted by the Citizen Relationship and Urban Management (CRUM) directorate in Region F at the Brixton Multipurpose Centre on Tuesday, 18 July 2023. According to The City of Johannesburg, the event aimed to acknowledge the role the elderly has played and continues to play in the community and show solidarity with them by addressing the challenges they face in their daily lives.

Senior managers, including the Regional Director, Irene Mafune, and Ward 58 Councillor Ricky Nair, attended the event. The celebration included eye screening, health talks, feet screening, health checks, manicures, massages, fun games, and aerobics.
