Emotions Escalate at Senzo Meyiwa Murder Trial as Tensions Rise

The testimony of Zandie Khumalo has been called into question during the murder trial of football star Senzo Meyiwa. According to eNCA, the lawyer representing accused number four contends that one of the people already in the house shot and killed Meyiwa.

Tempers flared in the High Court in Pretoria as Khumalo defended her assertion of intruders being responsible for the murder. She faced cross-examination from Zithulele Nxumalo, who represents accused number four, leading Judge Ratha Mokgoatlheng to intervene and restore decorum in the court.

The defence accuses Khumalo of contradicting her previous statements to the police, with three depositions made between 2014 and 2018 under scrutiny for inconsistencies.
