Teen scores big in Rivonia Village car giveaway
Rivonia Village was alive with excitement as 10 finalists eagerly awaited the winner’s announcement in the highly anticipated Win a Car competition.
The Sandton Chronicle partnered with Rivonia Village and VW Rivonia to help make someone’s dreams come true on August 10. The air was thick with anticipation as each finalist crossed their fingers, hoping to drive away with the grand prize of a brand-new Volkswagen Polo Vivo.
To add a twist of suspense, the finalists had to choose a box containing a key from the car’s boot. One by one, the finalists chose their boxes and the MC then randomly called out their names, inviting each finalist to try to open the car’s door with their key.
Among the hopefuls was 18-year-old Dhiya Naidu. With her heart pounding and the atmosphere electric, Dhiya tried her key and the door opened to the cheers of the crowd. The young Morningside resident was in shock, standing there in disbelief, unsure of what to do or say.
“I cannot believe this is happening,” Dhiya exclaimed, her face glowing with joy and her eyes brimming with tears.
Having entered the competition with little expectation, Dhiya expressed her overwhelming gratitude and excitement.
“This is the best day of my life. I never imagined I would win such an amazing prize. I am so happy, I don’t even know what to say.”
