St Mary’s says hello to Spring

St Mary’s Children’s Home gave karee tree seedlings to motorists in Oakdene and Bassonia on September 13, to celebrate spring.

It was a way of giving back to the community that supports them and requesting help, as the home still needs donations.

Evon Stiglingh, a representative of St Mary’s Children’s Home, outlined the reason for handing out seeds.

“We are handing out tree seeds of the karee. The symbolism behind this is that as you nurture the tree and help it grow, so will donations help our children grow and thrive,” said Evon.

“We accept any donations to the home. We truly appreciate any support,” she continued.
