Siya Kolisi’s World Cup dream alive and well – the Springboks confirm
In a significant update on Siya Kolisi’s road to recovery, Springbok coach Jacques Nienaber expressed optimism about the inspirational skipper’s rehabilitation progress. Speaking at a media briefing in Cape Town, Nienaber confirmed that Kolisi is hitting the necessary markers in his recovery and is on track to regain his fitness, as per The South African.
Emphasising Kolisi’s resilience, Nienaber mentioned that the Springbok captain has previously demonstrated his ability to perform at the highest level without participating in Test matches before a World Cup. Therefore, the Springbok camp is determined to give Kolisi enough time to recover and lead the team at the Rugby World Cup.
