Wanda Mbele, 34, and Sindiswa Mbele, 36, are accused of planning the murders of Noem My Skollie actor David Manuel and his friend Alfonso Fisher. The motive was allegedly to claim a life insurance payout. The siblings had been discussing the deaths just days before the crime.

The Alleged Plot

The siblings face serious charges, including fraud and money laundering. Authorities say they received over R100,000 in insurance payouts after the deaths of Manuel and Fisher on October 8. Investigations suggest they had planned the murders days earlier. They even talked about it on October 4.

The siblings reportedly also targeted Manuel’s brother, Patrick. They hoped to increase their insurance payout by adding him to their plan.

Deceptive Actions

Wanda Mbele allegedly led the scheme. He instructed Sindiswa to create a false affidavit to identify Manuel’s body. This was to speed up the insurance claim. Investigators found WhatsApp messages where the siblings discussed increasing Patrick’s life insurance. The State fears that Patrick could have been their next victim.

Insurance Payouts and Bail Hearing

Wanda received R60,000, and Sindiswa got R50,000 from the policies. The siblings attended a bail hearing, but the court postponed the decision. The authorities will continue investigating the case.
