Executive Mayor Kabelo Gwamanda of the City of Johannesburg led a vigorous service delivery drive in Roodepoort’s Region C, highlighting the city’s commitment to improving residents’ lives. According to Joburg Newsroom, the initiative involved diverse activities like cleaning, grass cutting, road surfacing, and tree pruning along President Fouche Drive in Olivedale.

This multidisciplinary approach, executed in cooperation with various Municipal Entities (MEs), aligns with the City of Johannesburg’s vision and the Government of Local Unity (GLU). Beyond physical work, the program incorporates marketing and communication strategies to enhance coordination and visibility at the regional level.

The effort spans a range of activities, including multidisciplinary operations, integrated by-law enforcement, stakeholder engagement sessions, and public awareness campaigns. Mayor Gwamanda and several city officials engaged with residents and local businesses to gain firsthand insights into their challenges.
