Serial killer Rosemary Ndlovu Charged With Cellphone Possession in Prison
Rosemary Nomia Ndlovu, a former cop and convicted serial killer, has once again attracted attention for the wrong reasons. While behind bars, the former Tembisa Police Station officer has been charged for not adhering to prison regulations as reported by Briefly.
According to the Department of Correctional Services (DCS), Ndlovu has been charged with contravening the Correctional Services Act after being caught with a cell phone. TimesLIVE reports that cell phones are considered contraband in prisons, and inmates found possessing such items face the revocation of privileges and other disciplinary actions. Singabakho Nxumalo, the spokesperson for DCS, expressed the department’s commitment to creating contraband-free prisons and explained that efforts are being made to confiscate all illegal materials.

Ndlovu’s recent charges come in addition to her previous high-profile criminal activities. Last year, she made headlines for allegedly plotting the murders of three individuals. News24 reports that these new charges follow Ndlovu’s previous conviction for the murders of five family members and her boyfriend and the attempted murder of her sister and her sister’s five children.
It is believed that Ndlovu hired a hitman to kill her former boss, an investigating officer who played a crucial role in her arrest and conviction. In a separate case, Ndlovu was accused of assisting her friend, Nomsa Muda, in planning the murder of Muda’s husband.
