Suspected Robber and Thieves Apprehended
Security arrested criminals in Van Dyk Park in two separate incidents this month. On July 11, authorities apprehended a man on Keurboom Street after robbing a woman at gunpoint. The Community Patrollers Initiative (CPI) witnessed the crime and called for backup on a community WhatsApp group. With assistance from Graphite Security, ADT Fidelity, and the community, they successfully caught the man and recovered the stolen property. They then took the suspect to the Dawn Park SAPS.

In another incident on July 14, police arrested three men for breaking into a shop on Charl Cilliers Street and stealing a generator. Following up on the received information, the Graphite A-Team located the stolen generator on the corner of 3rd Street and 4th Avenue at 12:55. The suspects were found to be connected to the theft and detained at the Boksburg North SAPS.
The Boksburg Advertiser is awaiting a full report from the police for further details on both cases.
