SAPS and JMPD Keep a Watchful Eye on Braamfontein – Stay Informed with the Latest Update

Update: On Sunday night, about 200 EFF members and activists gathered outside the Johannesburg Council in Braamfontein. According to SABC News, their protest is part of the planned shutdown on Monday. Protesters promised to continue their demonstrations throughout the night and early this morning.

The Johannesburg Metro Police Department and the South African Police Service have both dispatched a sizable police detachment to the area in the meantime. They will keep an eye on the area. Authorities have taken steps to ensure that the demonstrators don’t get out of control and don’t block any entrances to or exits from the area.
