In the two years since their inception, these centres have successfully served 127,952 individuals, leaving them highly satisfied with their services as reported by SA News.
One of the noteworthy technological advancements implemented by both licensing centres is utilising the Smart Enrolment System, which streamlines the process of capturing applicant details. This advanced system eliminates the need for printed ID photos for renewal purposes, greatly enhancing efficiency and improving the overall customer experience by reducing waiting times at RTMC centres.
Furthermore, the decision to eliminate the necessity for printed ID photos aligns with contemporary environmental practices aimed at reducing carbon emissions, aligning with South Africa’s sustainability goals.
The RTMC emphasises the importance of promptly collecting newly issued driving license cards. Leaving cards uncollected for extended periods can result in their destruction.
To better accommodate applicants, the RTMC encourages individuals to take advantage of the extended operating hours, allowing transactions at RTMC centers seven days a week from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m.
