Despite challenges like rain interruptions, repair teams have persevered with the restoration efforts. Mangena highlighted significant progress in the repair process, including the transformer tests and oil sample analysis. Additionally, the team has positioned new cables and cleaned the feeder board thoroughly. They have removed burnt protection cables, and planned replacements are underway for damaged components.
City Power will continue to update the restoration progress and communicate the estimated completion time. The power utility advised customers to unplug appliances during the outage to prevent damage when power is restored.
