Chaos erupts in Kaalfontein as protestors block roads – What’s their message?

On Monday morning, community members of Kaalfontein in Tembisa took to the streets. They burned tyres while blocking roads at the P91 near the Transnet School of Excellence. However, the reason for the protest is currently unclear, as per Jacaranda FM.

Due to the protest, Thabiso Makgato, a spokesperson for the Ekurhuleni Disaster and Emergency Management Services, has urged motorists to be cautious and use alternative routes. She suggested using Elgin Road towards Kempton or C.R. Swart. However, she also noted ongoing roadworks in these areas, which may cause delays.
