Pick n Pay may retrench over 1,000 store managers

Possible retrenchment letters have been served to over 1,000 managers, including those responsible for receiving and perishable goods, at Pick n Pay stores across South Africa as reported by the SABC News.

While some employees have accepted severance packages, Pick n Pay denies that it is retrenching workers, stating that the process is aimed at restructuring its stores to better serve customers and remove unnecessary roles.

The company also assures that no jobs will be lost during this process.
