Centurion Pedestrian Hit by Car

In a concerning incident, a 19-year-old male pedestrian faced injuries after being struck by a car on Wednesday afternoon.

The occurrence took place on the M31 Nellmapius Drive near the M36 Olievenhoutbosch Road outside Rooihuiskraal, according to Cert-SA, an emergency response organisation.

Responding promptly to the scene, emergency services, including the Centurion emergency crew, Tshwane emergency services, metro police, Gauteng emergency medical services, and Wierdabrug Sector 2 CPF, collaborated to manage the situation.

Cert-SA provided details on the incident, stating, “On Wednesday afternoon, our Centurion crew responded to a pedestrian-vehicle collision on Nelmapius Road near Olievenhoutbosh Road.”

Suffering moderate injuries, the 19-year-old pedestrian received immediate stabilisation on-site by emergency medical personnel. Subsequently, he was transported to the hospital for further treatment.

Emergency services spokesperson Charles Mabaso confirmed the incident, mentioning, “A man was knocked down by a car. He was treated and transported to the hospital by the medical services in a serious but stable condition.”
