Scandal! Is the Norkem Park Murderer Part of the 7de Laan Cast?
On Friday last week, SABC 2 and 7de Laan released a statement saying that they do not know the identity of the 50-year-old man who police arrested following the murder of his partner. The entities expressed their deep sadness and disturbance over the reports circulating in the media regarding this tragic incident of domestic violence involving an alleged 7de Laan actor. They added that they had no information about the person concerned and offered their condolences to the victim’s family and friends.
Although the production team tried to establish the individual’s identity, they cannot disclose the suspect’s identity as per the law until he receives formal charges. However, they confirmed that the individual in question is not part of the current cast. Many believed that the suspect was an actor who appeared in several South African soap operas, but it is still unclear which ones.
According to the Kempton Express, a 50-year-old man was taken to the hospital under police guard after he shot and killed his 29-year-old partner in Norkem Park. When the police arrived, they discovered the body of the 29-year-old man in a cottage on the property. The suspect (50) was still on the scene and found in possession of an unlicensed firearm, as per Warrant Officer Barbara-Anne Ferreira, the Norkem Park SAPS spokesperson.
