Motorist Arrested After Reaching Speed of 203km/h on the N4

The Gauteng Traffic Police arrested a 53-year-old motorist who clocked 203km/h on the N4 freeway, becoming the latest speedster arrested for reckless driving in the province.

The South African reported that the police apprehended the motorist on Sunday, 2 July 2023, and appeared at the Bronkhorstspruit Magistrate’s Court on Monday, 3 July.

According to Gauteng Traffic Police spokesperson Sello Maremane, the motorist exceeded the prescribed speed limit of 120km/h while driving a GWM P series. As a result, the motorist now faces charges of excessive speeding.
