More annoying ads invading Gmail accounts

According to reports and social media posts, Google is increasing the number of ads shown to Gmail users. Ads have been part of Gmail for years but were easily distinguished from regular emails as reported by techradar.

Now, Google is embedding ads that look like emails, making them more difficult to recognize. The changes are gradually rolling out to some users and affect all interfaces, including the mobile app and web access.

Users of different email clients will not be affected. Requests for comment from Google have gone unanswered.

The company launched an Ads Transparency Center earlier this year in an effort to enhance transparency around advertising.
