The suspects claim that the baby girl was stolen from Springs in September, a baby boy was stolen from Marble Hall in April, and the last baby girl was stolen in Kriel. The four-month-old baby’s mother, residing in Thubelihle, reported that her daughter was taken by two women posing as caregivers. The women assured the mother that they were taking the baby to a clinic for an injection and would return her promptly with food.

The motive behind stealing the babies remains unknown, and both suspects will appear in Kriel Magistrate’s Court today, facing charges of abduction. Kriel police are seeking assistance in locating the relatives of the three-year-old boy and eight-month-old girl. Those with information regarding the two children can contact Kriel SAPS at 082 798 0723.
