Executive Mayor of the City of Ekurhuleni, Councilor Sivuyile Ngodwana, is scheduled to unveil changes to the Mayoral Committee on October 9 at 14:00.

These changes come amidst growing concerns about service delivery in Ekurhuleni.

The ANC in Ekurhuleni recently expressed its worries about the municipality’s financial state at a media briefing on September 28 in Germiston. Jongizizwe Dlabathi, the ANC caucus whip, stated that the city is teetering on the brink of bankruptcy.

Ekurhuleni is governed by an ANC-EFF coalition, with both parties holding five portfolios each in the mayoral committee.

“The changes aim to enhance service delivery and bolster good governance in the city. The updated committee will comprise experienced and skilled individuals who will collaborate to address the city’s challenges and provide the best possible services to its residents,” Ngodwana explained.
