Last year, Roodepoort experienced another infrastructure incident when the bridge on Hendrik Potgieter Road partially collapsed during torrential rain. Fortunately, the ongoing construction of the bridge linking Johannesburg to Krugersdorp in Mogale City will end in October.
The authorities have urged motorists using the affected stretch of Miles Stoker Road to drive with extra caution and follow the redirection measures in place.
