Mashatile Engages in Land Reform Outreach in Hoedspruit

Deputy President Paul Mashatile will lead the Inter-Ministerial Committee (IMC) on a land reform outreach visit in Hoedspruit, in the Mopani District Municipality in Limpopo, on Friday, November 17. As Chairperson of the IMC on Land Reform and Agriculture, Mashatile aims to strengthen partnerships and foster positive collaboration between the government and social partners, as reported by SANews.

The primary focus of the land reform outreach program is to accelerate the land reform initiative and enhance agricultural productivity. The Presidency stated that the visit would allow the IMC to assess the progress made in implementing the land reform program.

Mashatile will also interact with the organised farming community as part of the coordinated government approach to ensure that restituted land comes with a targeted development support package. The visit aims to empower beneficiaries of restituted land to utilise their land productively.

The Deputy President will arrive at Selwana Nature Reserve in Phalaborwa and stop at Moletele Farm near Hoedspruit, engaging with the Grovedale 239KT Sports Ground farming community near Moletele Packhouse.
