Tragic Fate of Missing Durban Graduate Found Dead Near Lodge – Outrage and Urgency Surge as South Africans Demand Justice for Luyanda Cele’s Murder
The body of Luyanda Cele, a 24-year-old eThekwini Municipality intern who disappeared on Friday, 17 March, was found by Durban police on Saturday.
Briefly SA News Today reported that after receiving a call from the police on Monday, 20 March, Cele’s family learned of her murder and that the assailant had mutilated her body. The family is heartbroken and hopes the police will find the person responsible as soon as possible.
The Point Police Station is currently investigating the murder in Durban.
Many South Africans are expressing their outrage and frustration on social media, criticising the authorities for not doing enough to protect women and solve violent crimes.
