Dissolving the ANC is Highly Unlikely, Asserts Party Member Gwen Ramokgopa
The prospect of liquidating the ANC has been dismissed as far-fetched by the party’s treasurer-general, Gwen Ramokgopa. According to EWN, her response comes amid threats from Ezulweni Investments, an events company engaged in a prolonged legal dispute with the ANC over an alleged debt of R150 million for marketing material used in the 2019 elections.

Ramokgopa, addressing concerns of bankruptcy, emphasised that the Ezulweni matter is a legal issue, not a question of the party’s financial viability. She asserted that the ANC has significantly recovered, settling debts with SARS and clearing its overdraft. While acknowledging progress, Ramokgopa deemed the notion of liquidation as fanciful and distant.
