The water supply challenges have been widespread in various parts of the city, prompting Joburg Water to impose restrictions as a measure to manage demand. To resolve the issues in Linmeyer, the utility has been redirecting water from an alternative reservoir to replenish the South Hills tower.
According to Gugulethu Quma of Joburg Water, the process of channelling water from this secondary reservoir has presented some pumping challenges. Nevertheless, the efforts have resulted in a consistent water supply to the residents of Linmeyer, who have long awaited relief from the extended water disruptions.
