Lenasia residents can sigh relief as City Power has restored power following repairs to the Lunar substation damaged in an explosion. According to IOL, City Power spokesperson Isaac Mangena confirmed the restoration on Sunday, ending a week-long outage since February 17. “Residents in Lenasia South, Finetown, Mountain View, and nearby areas now have their electricity back,” Mangena stated.

Earlier, efforts to restore power were hindered by tripping issues with the incomer, but these have been resolved. The restoration involved a concerted effort by City Power teams, who replaced equipment, installed cables, and conducted tests despite challenges and delays.
