Minister of Sport, Arts and Culture Zizi Kodwa has conveyed his congratulations to Bafana Bafana for their win against Morocco at the AFCON tournament.

SANews reports a thrilling encounter at Stade Laurent Pokou in Ivory Coast on Tuesday night. Bafana Bafana secured a 2-0 victory. They have progressed to the tournament’s quarterfinals.

SAFA highlighted the global viewership of the match and commended the South African senior men’s team for maintaining their composure, delivering a solid performance that eliminated tournament favourites in Morocco.

“South Africa senior national star Evidence Makgopa and Teboho Mokoena scored in the second half to hand Bafana Bafana a win and a place in the quarterfinal where they will face Cape Verde on Saturday,” reported SAFA.
