Remains of Abducted Businessman Discovered in Field

The body of a kidnapped businessman that was found in Brakpan last (Monday) caused the initiation of a murder case by the authorities.

From the police’s point of view, on Saturday, the family of the 68-year-old businessman reported the abduction that happened in Benoni, and this was the first to become aware of the Benoni police.

The victim’s family, later on, was approached by a ransom of $3 million after they were abducted.

In response to the ransom demand, Brakpan police were notified of a body found in an open veld at the intersection of Heidelberg and Rangeview roads in Dalpark Ext 6 around 15:15:00.

The victim had bruises, though the cause of the death could not be identified for sure at the site of the incident.

Authorities are already working to untangle the mystery by investigating, and this process is one of the main actions.
