Johannesburg Water Applications for Apprenticeship Programme

Johannesburg Water, a municipal entity owned by the City of Johannesburg, invites unemployed youth to apply for their Apprenticeship Programme for 2023 and 2024. The organisation’s primary objective is to provide water and sanitation services to approximately 5.5 million people as reported by Youth Village.

Criteria:
To be eligible for the Apprenticeship programme, applicants must meet the following criteria:

  • Unemployed individuals aged between 18 and 32 years
  • Possession of the relevant NATED N4 Qualification
  • South African citizenship
  • No previous participation in an Apprentice programme

Applicants are required to attach the following documents:

  • Completed JW Apprenticeship application form
  • Certified copies of N4 Qualification for the relevant Trade as specified
  • Certified Copy of ID (not older than 3 months)

Application Process:
Applicants must complete all fields on the JW Apprenticeship Application form to be considered. Incomplete application forms will not be accepted.

Application forms can be downloaded from the Water Marked JW Application form. Failure to submit the requested documents/information will lead to disqualification.

All applications must be submitted via email, quoting the relevant reference number and job title in the subject line of the correspondence. Manual applications will not be accepted.

Johannesburg Water is committed to an employment equity-compliant selection and recruitment process, aligning with its EE plan. For the Apprentice positions, preference will be given to individuals of Indian descent and people with disabilities.

Please note the following: Johannesburg Water will not provide transport or accommodation for candidates attending interviews or appointed candidates from outside Gauteng Province. Correspondence will be conducted with shortlisted candidates only. If you do not receive a response within two weeks of the closing date, please consider your application unsuccessful.
