JFS members arrested twelve suspects in the Johannesburg area

Between April 14 and 17, Johannesburg Flying Squad (JFS) members arrested twelve suspects in the Johannesburg area. Southern Courier reports they also recovered one firearm and one stolen vehicle. In addition, the JFS officers arrested nine suspects for possessing suspected stolen property (copper cables), one for crimen injuria, one for domestic violence, and one for keeping drugs.

The JFS officers found a 9mm CZ 75 pistol at The Hill without any arrest, which they handed in at Moffat View SAPS. Additionally, a stolen white VW Polo was recovered and given to Aeroton SAP 13.

According to JFS communications officer Raymond Sambo, the investigation is ongoing in all cases. These recoveries were possible due to the collaboration between law enforcement and the community. “SAPS appreciates the public for their contribution. It should also be noted that any information regarding the vehicles, one may contact the relevant detective quoting the relevant case number.”
