Individuals Display Their Talents at Future Stars Competition

BT Ngebs City, the regional shopping mall in Mthatha, celebrated Youth Day on June 16th by hosting the second edition of the Future Stars Competition. This competition, dedicated to showcasing the talent of young individuals between the ages of 13 and 21 in Mthatha, focuses on music and dance as reported by News 24.

Approximately 100 hopeful participants across Mthatha attended the auditions to demonstrate their skills and passion for music and dance. The public will determine the final decision on the winners in both categories.

All audition videos of the participants will be uploaded to the BT Ngebs City Facebook page, and the contestant with the highest combined interactions on their video will be crowned the winner in each category. Each winner will receive a BT Ngebs City shopping voucher worth R2,500. Additionally, they will be rewarded with an all-expenses-paid trip to Johannesburg, where they will have the opportunity to network with influential figures in their respective fields.

The winner of the dance category will spend a day with the multi-talented personality Bontle Modisele, who is renowned for her work as an actress, television presenter, radio personality, dancer, choreographer, singer, and model. The winner of the music category will enjoy a day with DJs Spectacular and Naves, popularly known as the Kings of the Weekend.

BT Ngebs City has explicitly stated that using bots to increase votes is strictly prohibited. Contestants found to have employed bots excessively in their entry will face immediate disqualification.

Last year’s winners were also allowed to travel to Gauteng, where they had the privilege of meeting internationally recognized dancer Bontle Modiselle and Metro FM DJ, DJ Sabby at the Metro FM studios. The experience provided them with valuable insights and exposure to the industry.

The Future Stars Competition is a platform for young talents in Mthatha to showcase their abilities, gain recognition, and forge connections with established professionals. BT Ngebs City continues to support and nurture the talent of the youth, contributing to the growth and development of the local arts and entertainment scene.
