Hoërskool Centurion Welcomes New School Head
Hoërskool Centurion inaugurated their new school principal during a historic ceremony last week. Mr. André Labuschagne, who has previously served as acting principal, has demonstrated his commitment to the school by approaching every task with care, love, and consideration for the best interests of the students and staff. He is the eighth principal of the school.
In his address, Labuschagne emphasized the role of a school principal as a leader, as the school already has many managers. He believes a leader should create space for people to express themselves and be creative.
He highlighted the importance of good relationships and thanked everyone who contributes to the continued growth of the school. Addressing the parents, he expressed his desire to create a school that everyone can be proud of. For students, he envisions a safe space where they can be children, express themselves, and develop their potential.
To the staff, he stressed that they are the school’s most valuable asset and that their collaboration in teaching students about loyalty, integrity, excellence, respect, and faith – the pillars on which the school is built – will help realize the ideal of sending students who can make a significant difference in life into the future.
“I stand before a new season in my life and look forward to it incredibly.”
