HER seminar sets to empower women in business and leadership in Sandton
The Inanda Country Club in Sandton was alive with inspiration on September 14, as the fourth edition of the Empowering HER Seminar and Business Awards celebrated the remarkable achievements of women across various sectors.

Organised by the Nomzamo Lighthouse Foundation, in collaboration with African Bank and the Hollywood Foundation, the event lived up to its reputation as a platform for both recognition and empowerment.
A cornerstone in South Africa’s calendar for women’s empowerment, the seminar addressed key themes like financial empowerment, operational efficiency, and branding for growth.
In her keynote address, Nomzamo Mbatha, UN global goodwill ambassador and founder of the Nomzamo Lighthouse Foundation, emphasised the importance of initiatives like these. “This event is more than just a seminar, it’s a movement that celebrates, educates, and empowers women,” said Mbatha.
Her words resonated throughout the day, setting the tone for discussions aimed at bridging the gender inequality gap and providing tools for women in business and leadership roles.
