Hijacked truck recovered by Alberton SAPS

In the Alberton SAPS policing precinct, a recent incident involved the kidnapping of a truck driver and hijacking his truck, which had two trailers filled with luggage. A report by Southern Courier says the driver was held at gunpoint and taken in the culprit’s private vehicle while the other culprits drove off with the trailers.

Captain Manare Ramotshela, the Alberton SAPS communication officer, reported that officers later found the truck and trailers, but unfortunately, the items were missing. The good news is that the victim was found unharmed.

The SAPS members have asked the community to provide any information about the incident they might have. The station commander commended the members for recovering the truck but called for assistance in bringing the culprits to justice.
