Ekurhuleni’s Water Supply Under Pressure Due to High Demand

Amid a high water demand, the City of Ekurhuleni’s technicians have detected strain in the water supply system. CoE spokesperson Zweli Dlamini stated that the city is implementing various technical interventions to manage the demand. These measures include pressure management and water supply curtailment during certain hours.

Consequently, communities may experience low water pressure or shortages, especially in high-laying areas. Dlamini assured the city would ensure a continuous water supply and provide tankers for affected areas. He urged customers to use water sparingly and advised residents to check the city’s digital platforms for updates on the water situation.
