Help find missing Tshwane police trainee

The police are urging the public to assist in finding a missing 23-year-old Tshwane law enforcement trainee, and an investigation has been launched.

Tristan Chowles (23) before his disappearance was undergoing a 9-month Basic Police Learning Development Programme at the Tshwane Police Academy.

Gauteng police spokesperson Brigadier Athlenda Mathe said Chowles was admitted at a hospital in Pretoria East on Wednesday, September 18, and was discharged on Thursday, September 19.

He was last seen leaving the hospital.

“The circumstances surrounding his disappearance are currently under investigation, and police have since mobilised maximum resources to find this missing trainee.”

Mathe said Chowles is a white male, 1.78m tall, with short blonde hair, and blue eyes.

She said a missing persons case has been opened at the Garsfontein Police Station.

She said members of the public who may have seen or have information on the missing trainee are requested to call the Garsfontein detective commander, Lieutenant Colonel Tibane on 082 822 8338.
