South African Fighter Kiara Fegen Seeks Support for 2024 IMMAF World Championships in Tashkent

South Africa’s 22-year-old Kiara Fegen, a skilled purple belt in jiu-jitsu, is gearing up to represent her country at the 2024 IMMAF World Championships in Tashkent, Uzbekistan, on November 4. Fegen, with a decade of jiu-jitsu training and four years of MMA experience under her belt, is on a mission to bring home the gold medal.

Having achieved remarkable titles such as the ACE featherweight champion, South African featherweight champion, and GFC featherweight champion, Fegen is determined to make a mark on the world stage at the upcoming championships.

When asked about her motivation for starting her training journey, Fegen revealed, “I started training because children bullied me at school. And now, I love it so much that I have turned it into a career and cannot wait to go professional.” She diligently hones her skills in both MMA and jiu-jitsu at a gym located in New Redruth.
