Gift of the Givers Confirms Member and His Brother Targeted and Killed in Gaza
A Gift of the Givers member, along with his brother, was targeted and killed in Gaza, marking a tragic loss for the humanitarian aid group.
According to EWN, the late Ahmed Abbasi, described as a kind, gentle, and warm individual, was reportedly attacked while returning from morning prayers on Thursday.
Imtiaaz Sooliman, the founder of Gift of the Givers, expressed sorrow over the loss, highlighting Abbasi’s dedicated service to the people of Gaza since 2013, where he served as the head of the humanitarian foundation in the region.

Abbasi oversaw various projects in his role, including the care of orphans, widows, the elderly, and the ill and initiatives involving water delivery, food distribution, and housing upgrades.
Sooliman acknowledged Abbasi’s unwavering commitment, emphasising that he served the organisation and the people of Gaza for 40 consecutive days during the ongoing war.
