Gift of the Givers Assists Vredefort with Cholera Outbreak

In response to the tragic deaths of three family members due to water-borne disease, Gift of the Givers has extended its assistance to Vredefort. The outbreak has claimed a total of 32 lives thus far as reported by Jacarandafm.

President Cyril Ramaphosa, during his recent visit to the Rooiwal wastewater treatment plant, acknowledged the government’s failure to adequately serve the people of Hammanskraal, where the outbreak originated.

Dr Imtiaz Sooliman, the founder of Gift of the Givers, confirmed that their teams had been deployed to distribute water to the affected communities. He stated, “We received distress calls regarding recent fatalities related to the disease. Our teams from Hammanskraal were immediately dispatched to Vredefort last night.”

The teams will conduct assessments to gather crucial information while delivering 2304 five-litre water containers and 5000 rehydration sachets to the affected communities.
