Six out of ten Gauteng department receive clean audits
Six out of ten Gauteng departments have clean audits, despite the issues at Thembisa Hospital and the major metros on the brink of collapse. eNCA reports that Premier Panyaza Lesufi hosted an event on Wednesday that recognised provincial government departments for appropriately managing their finances.
The education department in the province received the most accolades, recording a clean audit for the first time in 10 years. With the second biggest budget of R60 billion, the premier emphasised that clean audits should be the norm.
