Fringe’s latest art show at Hyde Park Corner, Stress Narcotika
A solo exhibition titled “Stress Narcotika” by Fringe was recently held at Hyde Park Corner, marking the artist’s 13th solo exhibition globally, which commenced on September 12.
This exhibition represents the fifth solo showcase by the Johannesburg-based artist in the city, featuring a display of paintings, sculptures, multiples, and unique art forms that encapsulate Fringe’s distinctive style.
The Scapegoat Gallery served as the venue for Stress Narcotika, where the central theme revolved around a creative and imaginative concept—a fictional prescription tablet crafted to shape stress based on the user’s preferences.
Fringe’s artistic vision delves into the inner turmoil that served as the inspiration behind his recent creations.
Reflecting on his work, Fringe expressed, “In the hazy dawn of my existence, a blind panic engulfed me, stress became a coveted elixir.”
In Fringe’s artistic realm, stress is not portrayed as an adversary to be defeated but rather as a tool for personal development and empowerment.
Through his art, Fringe channels life’s chaos into a platform for self-exploration, where the complexities of thought serve as a catalyst for mastery and innovation.
