FlySafair Launches Affordable Johannesburg to Harare Flights
South African low-cost carrier, FlySafair, has unveiled its pricing structure for flights to Harare and Victoria Falls, showcasing rates considerably lower than those of competing airlines.
In detail, the cost for a Johannesburg to Harare flight on this budget airline is set at an equivalent of US$53, while the Johannesburg to Victoria Falls route is priced at around US$74 as reported by ZWNews.

The Civil Aviation Authority of Zimbabwe (CAAZ) has granted FlySafair, along with another South African low-cost carrier, CemAir, licenses to initiate passenger and cargo flights both to and from Harare and Victoria Falls.
In an official communication directed to NewsDay Business, FlySafair outlined the launch schedule for these new routes: The Johannesburg to Harare flight path is slated to debut on October 2, with the Johannesburg to Victoria Falls route taking off on the subsequent day.
FlySafair elucidated, “The initial wave of new routes will take flight on October 2, 2023, encompassing connections between Johannesburg and Harare, as well as Johannesburg and Livingstone. The Harare flights will operate daily, with fares commencing at R1,000 (US$53).”
“Flights plying between Johannesburg and Livingstone will occur four times weekly, specifically on Monday, Wednesday, Friday, and Sunday, with ticket pricing initiating at R2,000 (US$105). Following this, the subsequent wave of routes will commence on October 3 and 5, 2023.”
FlySafair further elaborated, “This upcoming set of routes features Johannesburg to Victoria Falls, which will maintain a thrice-weekly frequency, with ticket prices starting at R1,400 (US$74), and Johannesburg to Maputo, designed to operate four times per week, with ticket pricing commencing at R1,400.”
As of August 3, 2023, reservations for all the newly introduced routes have been open to the public.
