Fierce and fabulous ladies evening with IIE’s Varsity College Sandton
The recent annual Ladies to Legends event at The IIE’s Varsity College Sandton was an evening of empowerment and inspiration for more than 67 female students.
Aptly themed Fierce and Fabulous, the event centred around important discussions on self-expression, authenticity, and embracing one’s uniqueness.
The panel featured Caitlin Gulston, who was the MC and is a third-year Bachelor of Education in Foundation Phase Teaching at the University of South Africa, Athabile Ngxamngxa, the managing director of homecoming events at the IIE’s Varsity College Sandton, Dr Daniella Teles Amaral, a management lecturer at the college, and Rethabile Mofokeng, a third-year Bachelor of Arts student at the institution.
Their engaging discussions captivated the audience, encouraging students to share their experiences and feel more confident in embracing their own stories.
Student Kayla Jameson said, “I loved walking into Ladies to Legends with an open mind and walking out with a new perspective on life.” Jameson appreciated how outspoken the panellists were, and was inspiring to know that these powerful women had gone through what she was experiencing and would experience in the future.
“Ladies to Legends also allowed me to meet new people on campus and form new friendships, which is a big win for me.”
